POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist the Director by overseeing the daily operation of the radiation therapy department to ensure quality services. Performs clinical duties of staff radiation therapist. Establishes protocols, dose reduction techniques, for departments under the supervision of medical director, radiation physicist and hospital RSO. Subject level expert for administration of radiation, positioning, equipment performance, supplies, radiation safety and quality assurance. Communicates complex operational issues which require his/her attention of the Director in a timely fashion.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
1. Graduate from an approved/accredited School of Radiation Therapy
2. Experience: Minimum three years as staff radiation therapist.
3. Certification : ARRT (T) Required
4. ActiveTexas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist
