POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinic Supervisor has administrative and clinical responsibility for the smooth functioning of the Womens Clinic daily operation. As a clinician, the Clinic Supervisor is accountable for the observation, assessment, intervention, evaluation, rehabilitation, or health teachings of a person who is ill, injured, infirm, or experiencing a change in normal health processes; the maintenance of health or prevention of illness; the administration of a medication or treatment as ordered by a physician, the supervision or teaching of nursing; the administration, supervision, and evaluation of nursing practices, policies, and procedures; the performance of an act delegated by a physician and the development of the nursing care plan.

  1. Graduate of an accredited Nursing School.
  2. Licensed as a Registered Nurse accepted by the Texas State Board of Nursing to engage in professional nursing.
  3. Related experience with 23 years of OB/Gyn nursing experience.
  4. Technical, clerical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills relevant to patient care/area.
  5. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required.
  6. Other certification requirements as defined by the certification policy.
  7. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  8. Knowledge and ability to use computer and software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel).

PREFERRED:

  1. Baccalaureate degree or progression to this degree.
  2. Experience in a supervisory/management position.
  3. Bilingual or Multilingual.
